About Us
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and children with disabilities in Ghana. Our mission is to improve their lives and provide them with a better future. We place a strong emphasis on education, empowering these children to help themselves and actively shape their own futures.
How did we start?
Immanuel Bortsie, an 8-year-old boy, returned to his hometown of Winneba, Ghana, with his father, Enoch Bortsie. As he walked through his familiar surroundings, he noticed that many children were not attending school. Saddened, he asked his father why this was happening. With a heavy heart, Immanuel learned that these children couldn’t afford the small daily fee of 5 cents for their meals, which kept them from going to school. The revelation deeply moved him.
Determined to make a difference, Immanuel decided to donate his clothes and pocket money after his 5-week holiday to help his friends. He wanted to give them the opportunity to attend school and build a better future. From this caring and selfless idea, the organization "KindGottes" was born.
